The Shadow Financial Regulatory Committee is a group of publicly recognized independent experts on the financial services industry (that is, banking, insurance, and securities). These experts come from academia and the private sector. They meet on a regular basis to study regulations and critique regulatory policies that affect this section of the economy. This post-election briefing will highlight the committee’s suggested agenda for the next administration, including the reform of financial markets, deposit insurance, and bank capital regulation.
