Reagan's War and the War on Terrorism
Applying the Lessons of the Cold War Victory

This seminar, which presents
Reagan's War: The Epic Story of His Forty-Year Struggle and Final Triumph over Communism, will discuss the strategies that Ronald Reagan applied in the 1980s to win the cold war and explore the applicability of the same strategies to the war on terrorism. Can we apply the Reagan Doctrine to the present struggle? Peter Schweizer, author of the book and a research fellow at the Hoover Institution, will speak on the subject, and experts on Reagan will discuss the war on terrorism.

  • Steven F. Hayward writes on a wide range of public policy issues. He is the author of the Almanac of Environmental Trends, and the author of many books on environmental topics. He has written biographies of Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan and of Winston Churchill, and the upcoming book, The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Presidents. Mr. Hayward is also a senior fellow at the Pacific Research Institute. He contributes to AEI's Energy and Environment Outlook series.
