AEI Scholars Available to Comment on NATO Summit

In advance of the upcoming NATO Summit, Thomas Donnelly, director of AEI's Center for Defense Studies, has the following comment:

"It's time for the European members of NATO to prove that the alliance still matters to them; the war in Afghanistan is becoming Americanized, and it looks as though the Europeans are content to be relieved of a burden they no longer want. Beyond this immediate question, the continued atrophying of defense budgets--most recently in Great Britain--is raising American doubts about the importance of what has been the United States' most successful and enduring strategic partnerships."

Donnelly is available for interviews and can be contacted at thomas.donnelly@aei.org (202.862.7186). Tim Sullivan, program manager of AEI's Center for Defense Studies, is also available to comment and can be reached at tim.sullivan@aei.org (202.862.5902). For additional media inquiries, please contact Sara Huneke at sara.huneke@aei.org (202.862.4870).

AEI's in-house ReadyCam TV studio--for live and taped interviews--can be booked through VideoLink at 617.340.4300. To book AEI's radio booth and ISDN lines, please contact Sara Huneke at sara.huneke@aei.org.
