Obama, Xi summit could define U.S.-China relationship for years to come

Later this week, President Obama will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in California to discuss a series of key issues in the Sino-American relationship, including bilateral trade, mounting cybersecurity threats, global financial practices, and expanding military capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region.

Although the location and the informality of the summit suggest a casual encounter, the dialogue between the leaders of the two largest economies could help define the relationship for years to come. AEI’s foreign and defense policy, and economic scholars are intimately acquainted with the issues on the agenda and are available to discuss the summit and what are key policy priorities for the Obama administration to raise during the meet.

If you are interested in speaking with and AEI scholar on background or to arrange an interview please contact a media services representative below or [email protected], 202-862-5829.
