You might be interested in the latest piece by Paul Wolfowitz, AEI visiting scholar and former deputy U.S. secretary of defense and U.S. ambassador to Indonesia, in today's Wall Street Journal. In "Obama and the Freedom Agenda," Wolfowitz describes the challenges President Obama faces when he speaks to the Muslim world tomorrow from Cairo.

President Obama "must counter some of the myths and outright falsehoods about the United States that are commonly believed in many parts of the Muslim world, and he needs to present his audience with some inconvenient truths," writes Wolfowitz. In addition, he points out that Obama has an opportunity, based on his own remarkable career, to make the case that the political principles labeled as "Western" are appropriate for the Muslim world.
