Research Associate Christopher Griffin

A speaker of Japanese and Mandarin Chinese, Christopher Griffin studied Chinese, Japanese and U.S. strategy in Southeast Asia (particularly in Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore). Mr. Griffin also researched defense industrial cooperation in the Asia Pacific (mostly between the U.S., Australia, Japan, India, and Singapore). He also examined Japan’s diplomatic and security reemergence. Mr. Griffin regularly wrote for AEI’s Asian Outlook series.
