Barack Obama’s presidency has had profoundly negative consequences for our national security. From debilitating cuts in defense budgets, to gutting national missile defense efforts, to his unwillingness to acknowledge a continuing war against terrorism, to his inability to stem the nuclear proliferation threats posed by North Korea and Iran....the picture is bleak.
This is the season of generational twaddle. At graduation ceremonies across the country, politicians, authors, actors, and businessmen take to the stage to tell young people they are fantastic simply because they are young. This year, the ritual is more pathetic than usual because there’s a presidential election in the offing.
Across the region's range of troubles, Obama's inexperience, naivete and strategic incompetence have all cost the United States dearly.
President Obama's disinterest and inexperience in foreign and national security affairs are nowhere more evident than in his China policy.
It is hoped that President Obama's misadventures in foreign and security policy are due to inexperience and naiveté,and that he can learn from mistakes made in his first year in office to improve his foreign policy going forward.
