Iran's Revolutionary Guards Commander fears attack against Iran and warns Hezbollah not to attack Israel for fear of reprisal

The dispute over Iran’s controversial nuclear program has reached crisis point. Despite increasing foreign sanctions in recent months, Tehran is continuing its nuclear work, refusing to cooperate, and has indeed tripled its monthly production of higher-grade enriched uranium.

This is no time for conciliation. Wars happens neither because America talks tough nor because the White House makes it clear that it will spare no effort to defend its allies against external threats.

The Washington Post’s David Ignatius is regurgitating—er, reporting—that Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta is fretting Israel is going to attack Iran in “April, May or June.” There’s some speculation that’s why Israel canceled the 12th joint Austere Challenge military exercise with the United States. That might coincide with the Israeli attack.

It’s time for the Pentagon and the American defense industry to develop a new way of doing business. They must look to Israel.

Israel’s test on Wednesday of a new missile able to reach Iran, and the International Atomic Energy Agency’s forthcoming report that exposes the military dimension to Iran’s nuclear program have renewed speculation that Israel’s patience with Obama’s diplomatic efforts to counter Iran’s nuclear program has run out.
